Thought for the Month

In life -

it's not where you go,

it's who you travel with.

Our speaker for the evening was Delia Taylor who gave us a talk on ‘The Impact of World War 1 on Women’. Delia embarked on a very interesting session, illustrated with photographs, film and texts from the time, highlighting how women took over jobs and services previously only done by men, thus empowering them and changing the role of women after the war, up to the present day. Delia’s presentation was excellent and very amusing. Our President thanked Delia for her enlightening talk. Everyone then enjoyed tea/coffee and cake followed by the raffle.
